Greetings!  I'm Chuck Bryant and I'm the maniac who owns this site.  I'm a freelance computer tech/consultant and have been involved with computers in one way or another for about 22 years.  I got my first computer, a Commodore 64, when I was 20 years old to pass the time while I was waiting for a broken leg to heal.  I went from the 64 to a 128 to an Amiga 500 to an Amiga 2000 (with a 386 bridgeboard), after that Commodore had gone out of business and while I was waiting to see what happened with them I held on to my 2000, accelerated it and hoped for a miracle...no such luck.  Seeing how the cards were falling, with a tear in my eye I sold all my Amiga hardware (well, I still have boxes full of stuff) and bought a PC, a 486-66 running Windows 3.1.....YUCK!  I hated it.  No multitasking, lousy graphics and lousy sound.  What a turd.  I dumped Win3.1 (a clown suit for DOS) and used IBM's OS2 Warp.  A big improvement, but very limited to both hardware and software, but I was much more comfortable with it than with Windows.  After Win95 came out I dumped OS2, as bad as Win95 was, it at least had good hardware support and multitasked.  Even back in my Amiga days I owned PC's, I ran a 3 line BBS out of the Seattle area on a 386-25 using DOS and Desqview.  What a mess that was to setup and keep running...but it was a lot of fun.

Getting away from computers, in my younger days I worked as a welder/sheet metal fabricator, in the shipyards of Washington state and in the construction field.  I build and ride custom motorcycles, mostly Harley Davidson's, but I have another motorcycle that's built around an experimental engine that's basically the front two cylinders from a small block Chevy V-8.  Also, I'm a firearms enthusiast, I own many handguns and a number of rifles and shotguns.  I'm believer in the right to self defense and the right to blow the head off anyone who threatens me or my family.  I also like just about any neat gadget, including pocket computers, GPS units, flashlights of all kinds and pocket multi tools.  I also own a 1967 Ford Mustang 390 fastback and a 1980 Jeep CJ-7 that I drive everyday.

Anyway, that's enough about me, thanks for stopping by and check back often!
